Hello to everyone, I recorded in the smooth jazz guitarrist Roberto Tola's last work. I was very surprised to know that one of my sax heroes, the great Bob Mintzer plays in the same record. I don't know if I'll have the chance to meet Bob anytime or even to record with him but it makes me very happy to know we are playing in the same CD:) It seems stupid, I know but I just cannot help to share it with you, collegues 🙂 iTunes link All about Jazz info link
Hello for everyone! Here is the NEW video Lesson from Jazz Saxophone Lessons web. Today, I will tell you about the ¨magic¨ lick for II-V-I progression. It is one of the most widespread chord progressions in jazz. Since our videos are russian speaking, we'd just add eng subtitles.
Here is one more Rhythmic Dictation, it comprises a part of my students' homework. Beginners' level.
Maybe someone will make use of it in their educational work, or will feel like testing themselves. PDF link with the answer rhythmic-dictation-lesson-2-basic-swing
Hi all, we'd just started selling the second CD of the New Orleans Jazz style trio from Barcelona... ¨Casi el Mejor Trio de Tu Vida¨. The band's name translates from Spanish to English as ¨Almost the Best Trio of Your Life¨, it's just a name, nothing else... Check it, buy it , enjoy it!
